Tsegaw Lencha is a development professional with extensive experiences in development program management, research and policy engagement in areas of agriculture; food security; livelihood; resilience; disaster risk reduction/management; climate change and environment as well as humanitarian and emergency response working for more than 15 years in various NGOs. He has coordinated a regional network, Eastern and South Africa Food Security Network, comprising civil society alliance from Ethiopia, Malawi and Uganda, on capacity development and engagement on food security and climate change at regional and international policy spaces. Tsegaw has MA in in Geography and Environmental Studies and MSc in Rural Development. Also, he holds PGDip in Development Management and with a background study of BSc in Agriculture. At ActionAid, currently Tsegaw is Livelihoods Programme Manager leading on resilience building and climate justices for smallholder farmers particularly women and young people.

On DOWN2EARTH, Tsegaw is the project manager and is also the research coordinator for Ethiopia. He is leading the work on engagement with rural communities and take part within the End-User Engagement Team.
